Island Arts Collective is led by Courtney Booth, a theatre educator, director, and facilitator based on Oʻahu, with over 16 years of experience creating theatre experiences for students, educators, and communities.

My work centers on helping people build confidence, strengthen communication, and connect with one another through performance, collaboration, and play.

Over the years, I’ve taught students from kindergarten through high school, directed plays and musicals, coached speech and debate, and led programs that bring people together through the arts. My background as a trained actor and experienced theatre educator shapes the way I lead: with structure, creativity, and a deep belief in the power of ensemble.

Island Arts Collective grew out of a desire to make theatre more accessible, flexible, and meaningful for a wide range of communities. I design programs that are supportive, adaptable, and easy to bring into schools, classrooms, workplaces, and community spaces.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: theatre gives people a place to be brave, be creative, and connect.
