I’m a theatre educator, director, and program leader with more than 16 years of experience creating theatre experiences for students, schools, and communities. My work centers on helping people build confidence, strengthen communication, and connect with one another through performance, collaboration, and play.

Over the years, I’ve taught students from kindergarten through high school, directed plays and musicals, coached speech and debate, and led programs that bring people together through the arts. My background as a professionally trained actor and theatre teacher shapes the way I lead: with structure, creativity, and a deep belief in the power of ensemble.

Island Arts Collective grew out of a desire to make theatre more accessible, flexible, and meaningful for a wide range of communities. I design programs that are supportive, adaptable, and easy to bring into schools, classrooms, workplaces, and community spaces.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: theatre gives people a place to be brave, be creative, and connect.

Profile

What I Offer

Island Arts Collective offers theatre residencies, creative workshops, and production support for schools, educators, communities, and organizations. Each program is flexible, collaborative, and tailored to your setting, whether you’re looking to support classroom learning, enrich student experiences, direct a production, or build connection and communication within a team.

  • Multi-week, in-school programs that integrate theatre into the school day.

Residencies can support classroom learning through storytelling, character work, and performance, while building confidence, communication, and collaboration. Each residency is tailored to your grade level and curriculum goals, and can culminate in a sharing or performance.

  • I work with schools to direct student productions, from early elementary performances to more developed plays and showcases.

This includes guiding students through the rehearsal process, building ensemble, and creating a positive, structured environment where every student can succeed on stage.

  • Single-day or short-term workshops designed to introduce or deepen theatre skills.

These can focus on areas such as:

    • Storytelling and creative drama

    • Acting and character development

    • Ensemble-building and collaboration

Workshops are ideal for classrooms, enrichment programs, and community groups.

  • Interactive workshops designed for educators, staff, and teams.

Using theatre-based techniques, these sessions focus on:

    • Communication and active listening

    • Collaboration and team dynamics

    • Confidence and presence

These workshops are engaging, practical, and tailored to support stronger, more connected teams.
